Click*Syndicate Kembali.. Intan & Fairuz Part #1

Assalammualaikum dan salam sejahtera buat semua pengunjung setia Click*Syndicate | The Blog ni.. Pheww.. Dah berapa lama saya tak sempat nak update blog ni dan terbiar bersawang.. Maafkan saya guys and girls..! Semenjak dua menjak ni macam-macam perihal isu-isu berbangkit terjadi..
Click*Syndicate kini bukan lagi sebuah organisasi seperti mana ianya dahulu. Organisasi yang saya maksudkan ialah begini: Sebelum ini, Click*Syndicate adalah ramai.. Terdiri dari beberapa jurugambar professional dan separa profesional di bawah satu nama iaitu Click*Syndicate Photography.. Kini, Click*Syndicate hanyalah saya seorang..
Hehehe..
Gambar-gambar majlis ini akan saya bahagikan dalam 3 bahagian; #1 – Make up, #2 – Majlis Resepsi dan #3 – Outdoor.. So, guys and girls, keep on visiting okay.. Saya akan kembali aktif mengemaskini The Blog untuk tatapan anda semua.. Inshaallah..!
Wassalam

Shit Happen and Damn Snatchers..! – Kisah Rompakan

On my earlier post, I’ve mentioned that I wanted to take a holiday on Chinese New Year, and so did I and I was all alone… Today, I just came back from my holiday that supposed to be only a 3 days escapism from work loads, Kuala Lumpur noise and such. I went to the nearest island from KL which is Pangkor in Lumut, Perak. The 3 days holiday turned to be a 5 days holiday for me. Why? Because I was being robbed while I was there in Teluk Nipah with nothing left on me except my wet cloths.. Nothing.. Not even a single cent in my pockets..
That night, I was out alone for a night photography session at the beach. As I place my camera and tripod at the beach, I lay down my body on the golden sand and watch the stars spreading the night skies of Pulau Pangkor. I place my Targus backpack at the side of the tripod and camera. Everything was fine until I hear a very slow sounds of movement of a person at 3 meters from the place I was laying down. I quickly pick up my torch light and flash out for my camera and luckily it was still there but then only I’d realized that my backpack was already gone. During that time as well, I saw one guy holding something black (like my backpack) moving slowly not far from the place where I stood. I then quickly grasp my tripod and camera and start running chasing that guy!
How fast can you run on a sandy beach and in total dark? My answer is, NOT THAT FAST! I stumble upon my foot step and when I look up, that guy has disappeared in that total dark.. I started searching and asking everyone that I saw along the beach, but all of the answer i received was no.. “Sorry la abang, kita orang tak nampak siapa-siapa pun.. Kalau kita orang nampak, kita orang janji untuk tangkap dan pukul ramai-ramai..!” Then I stop for a while to catch my breath.. I swear to God, if I ever find or met this guy again, he’ll be in deep trouble. He was messing with the wrong person. I started to hold my fist at this time..
Here is what I’ve lost in that incident. (And if you guys out there came across anyone who are selling the similar things like mine, please personally contact me):
- Targus backpack for Apple MacBook Pro 17″
- 1 unit of Nikkor 50mm f1.8D lens (serial # 0988050)
- 1 unit of Nikon SB-600 Flash unit (serial # 2937974)
- 4 pieces of Phottix PT-04 flash wireless trigger
- 1 piece of 85w Apple MacBook Pro MagSafe Power Adapter and AC power cord
- 1 piece of original Nikon Transfer Cable
- 1 imported book (A History of God – by Karen Armstrong)
- Topman Leather Wallet
- National Identity Registration Card
- National Valid Driving Lincese
- 2 ATM cards
- 2 credit cards (Mastercard & Visa)
- Money in that wallet
- My cellphone (and all of my contact numbers – including your numbers)
- My condominium access card
- My house keys
- My car keys
- My friend car keys (Honda Civic FD2 – That cost me RM2300 later for the replacement unit – I am still wondering why I had his car keys in my backpack).
- 4 pieces of Panasonic HHR-3SPT AA rechargeable batteries up to 2,400 mAh (Use for speedlight).
- Velbon Tripod Bag (Made in UK).
- Click*Syndicate’s photographers name cards.
- … And a few more items that I can’t think off right now.
As a result, I was wandering around lost for two bloody days around Lumut Jetty with policeman with no money not even a single cents, no credit cards nor ATM cards to withdraw money, no phone and numbers to make calls (I am very bad at remembering numbers), no food nor drinks (except for mineral waters that I bought the night before the incidents) until a guy came and help me who is happen to be a student of University Technology Petronas (UTP).. Only God can pay you back dude! Thanks Khairul Anuar.. I will greatly remember you forever..! My estimated lost in total was around RM4,000 – 5,000 and that is lots of money..! Arghhhh…
If you guys came across somebody or someone selling those lens and speedlight units with the given serial number that I’ve stated above, please do contact me at +(6) 03 6141 7702 (Click*Syndicate’s office). For the time being, I have no cellphone but I can still be reach at the number given around office hour from 9am – 5pm.
My future clients and ex-clients that hasn’t collect your wedding album please as well contact me through that number or my emails at: farulazri@click-syndicate.com
For those who’ve send me email before, I will reply your emails as soon as possible once I’ve settle every documentation on this case. And to those who’ve send me text sms on my cell phone before, I will announce my new number soon (or much probably the old one) in this very blog and please do send your text sms again later.
Have a nice day everyone, and be very careful on those damn snatchers around us. Shit do happen.. Once in a while!

Tone Mapped Photos For Wedding?

By the time I’m writing this, I’m sitting alone at Starbucks Coffee in Pavilion, Bukit Bintang. Enjoying my cup of Javachip Coffee with whipped cream.. Yummy..! I dunno what happen to me for the past 2-3 days.. But one thing that I know, I love to be alone for the time being. Looking at these people walking, passing by this very aisle of Pavvy makes me felt so much refreshing and relax. By the end of this week, I’m gonna take a 3-4 days off to my secret hideout place.. Where else beside my favorite sandy beach? I need a time off.. Seriously..
Kuala Lumpur is such a nice place to live in or to work. But too much of Kuala Lumpur makes me sick. The noise, the people, all those ‘mat rempit’ stuff, the crime and everything.. They’re all just cause me pain in the head.. (now I sound old).. LOL..
Ok guys and girls.. Let’s just go straight to the topic before I can have my holiday soon.
After I’ve posted Gia portfolios in HDR photos, I’ve been asked by a few people on what I think about tone mapped / HDR effects on wedding photography? So here’s my answer.. I’m not a big fan of HDR photography actually. HDR for me, is very useful in landscape or architectures photo and such. But when it come to a wedding photography, I give it 50-50. If requested by the clients, I’d say why not? But please bear in mind, that not all of your wedding clients love HDR effects. Some of them don’t even know what the heck is HDR. (Read until the end of this article, And you’ll know what is HDR). To make a HDR look image, the post-processor / designer (in this case, it’s me) will need lot’s of time and lot’s of coffee! It is a very much time consuming thingy for most of the post-processors / the designers. So to clients, please be very careful if you want to request this kind of image. Because of it’s time consuming ‘nature’, I’m afraid that your wedding album will be delivered late.. LOL.. Unless the ‘makers’ are all big names and well known photographers such as Syahrin Aziz and such, then you can rely on them!
Wedding is always a ‘one-day-off’ events and you can’t reverse it back. What you saw right in front of your eyes will only happen once (most of the time) and then you can only pray hard for the same incident or moment to happen again. This is why I’ve trained all of my photographers to have eye like an eagle.. LOL.. Normally for wedding photographers, they’ll shoot in Jpeg format. But for me, I’ll shoot the make up sessions and some of the events of wedding in RAW format (the rest is in Jpeg). Why RAW? This is because all of the originality (colors, tone, white balance and such) is still in it ‘uncompressed’ state. And at this stage, you’ll need a RAW file format to turn it into a HDR photo at later post-processing stage. (Jpeg can’t be processed into HDR since it’s already being compressed).
Original HDR photos need at least 3 RAW exposures to make it beautifully rendered. But through 1 RAW file it is also can still be use for HDR conversion (except it wont be regards as ‘original HDR’.. LOL). Now, HDR and tone mapped is the same techniques if you don’t know..
So, with this article I’ve added some of my previous photos that I’ve converted to HDR / Tone Mapped… So tell me what do you think? LOL
Now I can have my holiday..! Yay!

Hafizah + Shahrul The Engagement

Okay guys and girls. You’ve watched the teaser, and now as I’ve promised, here are the photos I’ve shot during Hafizah and Shahrul Nizam engagement ceremony in Klang last weekend, December 27, 2009. Both of them are sweet and both of them is very much romantic (this is my personal thought) and both of them share a good taste of music and movies to list on..

We at Click*Syndicate wish them all the best for their future successes.. And err.. Don’t forget to invite us again on your guys wedding day December 2010. Not only as a guest, but as your official photographers.. Hahaha…
Nazrul + Gucci

Another assignment for our principal, Farul Azri over the weekend was to shoot this male model, Nazrul or better known as Bob for his personal portfolios. There were tons of photos of him but we have to be very selective since it contains nudity and er.. Erotic photos? Hahaha. So we guess it can’t be publish in here since Click*Syndicate The Blog is kinda open to everyone.. Kena ada lembaga penapisan maaa… Haha..
By the way, in these photo shoot, Farul have tried to implement his idea over lighting in photography and guess what, he just used one single lighting for strobing with a few filter being attached. They shoot in dark and here are the end result. There not much of post processing involved in the whole process..
Enjoy Bob and Gucci!
