Night Photography
Everybody started somewhere in their life journey or career. Same goes to me.. I started photography in the year 1996 when I was a photography and advertising student to Radzi Omar, one of the very first Malaysian Malay to shoot with National Geographic Magazine. My first love in photography was ‘night photography’! I was just equipped with my long gone Nikon FM2 and F70 35mm SLR (Single-Lens Reflex) film camera which I bought from my senior student, Liza.
Why night photography? Because I just love watching the stars. Night photography can make the stars look twirling around our planet earth and at the same time, I know that our earth was spinning fast actually but the gravity makes us ‘forget’ about that. LOL!

Tone Mapped Photos For Wedding?
By the time I’m writing this, I’m sitting alone at Starbucks Coffee in Pavilion, Bukit Bintang. Enjoying my cup of Javachip Coffee with whipped cream.. Yummy..! I dunno what happen to me for the past 2-3 days.. But one thing that I know, I love to be alone for the time being. Looking at these people walking, passing by this very aisle of Pavvy makes me felt so much refreshing and relax. By the end of this week, I’m gonna take a 3-4 days off to my secret hideout place.. Where else beside my favorite sandy beach? I need a time off.. Seriously..
Kuala Lumpur is such a nice place to live in or to work. But too much of Kuala Lumpur makes me sick. The noise, the people, all those ‘mat rempit’ stuff, the crime and everything.. They’re all just cause me pain in the head.. (now I sound old).. LOL..
Ok guys and girls.. Let’s just go straight to the topic before I can have my holiday soon.
After I’ve posted Gia portfolios in HDR photos, I’ve been asked by a few people on what I think about tone mapped / HDR effects on wedding photography? So here’s my answer.. I’m not a big fan of HDR photography actually. HDR for me, is very useful in landscape or architectures photo and such. But when it come to a wedding photography, I give it 50-50. If requested by the clients, I’d say why not? But please bear in mind, that not all of your wedding clients love HDR effects. Some of them don’t even know what the heck is HDR. (Read until the end of this article, And you’ll know what is HDR). To make a HDR look image, the post-processor / designer (in this case, it’s me) will need lot’s of time and lot’s of coffee! It is a very much time consuming thingy for most of the post-processors / the designers. So to clients, please be very careful if you want to request this kind of image. Because of it’s time consuming ‘nature’, I’m afraid that your wedding album will be delivered late.. LOL.. Unless the ‘makers’ are all big names and well known photographers such as Syahrin Aziz and such, then you can rely on them!
Wedding is always a ‘one-day-off’ events and you can’t reverse it back. What you saw right in front of your eyes will only happen once (most of the time) and then you can only pray hard for the same incident or moment to happen again. This is why I’ve trained all of my photographers to have eye like an eagle.. LOL.. Normally for wedding photographers, they’ll shoot in Jpeg format. But for me, I’ll shoot the make up sessions and some of the events of wedding in RAW format (the rest is in Jpeg). Why RAW? This is because all of the originality (colors, tone, white balance and such) is still in it ‘uncompressed’ state. And at this stage, you’ll need a RAW file format to turn it into a HDR photo at later post-processing stage. (Jpeg can’t be processed into HDR since it’s already being compressed).
Original HDR photos need at least 3 RAW exposures to make it beautifully rendered. But through 1 RAW file it is also can still be use for HDR conversion (except it wont be regards as ‘original HDR’.. LOL). Now, HDR and tone mapped is the same techniques if you don’t know..
So, with this article I’ve added some of my previous photos that I’ve converted to HDR / Tone Mapped… So tell me what do you think? LOL

We gonna stop posting about wedding for a while. The wedding season for last year has already wave us all goodbye.. LOL.. Since there’s no wedding for the time being, we go and shoot something else. Over last week, our Principal Director, Farul Azri was assign by this beautiful lady known as Gia, an uprising actress and talented model to shoot for her modeling portfolios. Farul was assist by Daniel Malek on the shooting day. All of the editing and post-processing was done by Farul Azri him self..

Azwana + Amrin = Pre Wedding
Last Monday, we was out again to shoot this lovely couple known as Azwana & Amrin.. That’s A+A for you.. :D
I was assist by Daniel Malek that soon to join Click*Syndicate photographers team as Junior Photographer. We went on three location on that day and the couple did as well bring along three outfit for their three themes. Make up for that day was done by Kak Ita who was also known among His Majesty Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin royalties families..

Why Men Always Know How To Make Up Their Mistake? – Stephen & Illa Post Wedding (Black’n'White)
In any relationship name it from boyfriends and girlfriends to husband and wife, man’s was always being pointed as the one who’ve always done big mistake and such. Women was always being portrayed as the good ones. But in a 21st century, everything is upside down. Now days, even a woman can be as bad as men and men can be as good as a loyal house wife..
So why did men always know how to make up their mistake..? Our answer is – because they are the most romantic creatures on planet earth. Don’t believe us? Go back and check history – Most of the romantic writers are men. Most of romantic musician are men. Most of poetic poems are written by men.. And so many other things to list down. We’re are not being sexism here.. Hehehe.. Wan Addiba, forgive us.. But this is the fact.. But says who girls are not romantic by them self right..? Haha.. Men and women are always meant to be together..

Shand Abdullah and Naza Illa Mohd Nasir post wedding photo shoot we’ve done over last weekend. This photoshoot was done by Farul Azri and Abu Bakar Fahmi or better known as Enche Burn. The idea of story line was originally by Enche Burn.

Kisah Kellie’s Castle…
Ini kali pertama aku jejakkan kaki kat Kellie’s Castle, Perak Darul Ridzuan. Sebelum-sebelum ni pernah la aku lalu kat situ beberapa kali.. Kellie’s Castle ni tempat bersejarah. Sebuah banggunan lama (seperti ‘mansion’) binaan zaman British dulu. Dibina oleh William Kellie Smith dari Scotland sekitar tahiun 1890. Konon-kononnya rumah agam ni nak dihadiahkan untuk isteri dan anaknya tapi rumah ni tak pernah siap pun sebenarnya dan tak lama lepas tu William Kellie Smith mati sebab terkena macam-macam penyakit. Pneumonia dan Spanish flu.. Hari ini ramai yang percaya bahawa tempat ni berhantu dan ramai jugak la yang dah jumpa hantu William Kellie Smith tu kat sini.. Hahaha..
Memang ada sejarah tempat ni.. Sama jugak dengan aku.. Kisah lama masa zaman-zaman aku bercinta dulu. Rajin la drive kereta dari KL ni pergi ke Seri Iskandar.. Dah tu, girlfriend aku dulu study kat sana..! Memang selalu la aku melintas kat depan Kellie’s Castle ni.. Cuma tak berpeluang nak berhenti menjenguk je.. Sekarang ni baru la ada peluang.. Terima kasih kepada Thareq dan Ayu.. Hahaha.. Adeh.. Terkenang cerita lama la pulak.. Syahdu je tiba-tiba terasa hati.. Huhuhu..
Petang tu bila selesai shoot outdoor portraiture untuk Thareq dan Ayu, kami team jurugambar Click*Syndicate telah dijemput oleh pihak pengurusan Kellie’s Castle untuk turut serta dalam rakaman ‘paranormal activity’ oleh beberapa orang paranormal investigator (penyiasat hantu) dari Singapura dan Malaysia yang dijadualkan untuk buat pengambaran pada malam tu jugak bermula jam 8pm – 3am.. Aku memang dah excited dan teruja sangat waktu tu sebab peluang macam ni bukannya datang selalu.. Tapi pembantu aku Enche Abu Bakar Fahmi a.k.a Enche Burn terkenal dengan sifat segan-silu dia terhadap makhluk-makhluk halus ni.. Wakakakaka… Maka terpaksalah aku membatalkan hajat aku dan meminta izin untuk tidak turut serta dari pihak pengurusan Kellie’s Castle.. (hampeh betul).. Sudahnya kami sampai di Kuala Lumpur awal.. Sekitar pukul 10.30 malam dah sampai.. Kalau kami sangkut kat Kellie’s Castle tu, silap-silap haribulan mesti azan subuh baru sampai KL punya.. hahaha.. Tak boleh la pulak kan sebab keesokkan harinya tu aku ada photoshoot untuk majlis bertunang Shahrul dan Hafizah di Klang.. Arghhh… Kellie’s Castle, aku akan repeat…!!!!!!!!
Huh.. Apa-apa pun, korang layan la dulu gambar-gambar outdoor Ayu dan Thareq kat Kellie’s Castle ni.. Kalau korang nampak apa-apa dalam gambar-gambar tu, jangan tegur.. Mungkin itu gambar hantu, atau mungkin itu gambar Ayu dan Thareq..! Hahaha.. Enjoy..!

‘Jet Lag’ Selepas Shooting Fida & Khairun
Serios beb.. Hari ni aku rasa macam kena jet lag pulak.. Semalam aku ditemani oleh Daniel Malek dari Purple Grapes Photography untuk shoot masjlis bertandang Fida dan Khairun di Sungai Siput dan Kuala Kangsar.. Kenduri kahwinnya tu kat Sungai Siput tapi lepas kenduri, kami ‘kidnap’ pengantin bawak pegi buat outdoor portraiture kat Kuala Kangsar. Enjoy tak ingat-ingat punya kami semalam.. Lepas shoot outdoor, kami pun layan makan laksa Kuala Kangsar yang top tu.. Bila tiba time nak balik, baru teringat sesuatu.. ‘Esok orang dah mula kerja.. Dan memandangkan hari Jumaat sebelum tu Hari Raya Haji, makanya jalan mesti sesak tak ingat punya..’
Sudahnya 6 jam kami sangkut dalam kereta kat highway tu..! Arghhhhhh…
Hmm.. Berbalik kepada kisah si Fida dan Khairun ni, kenduri diorang ni pun sempoi. Berjalan lancar tanpa ada sebarang masalah. Kawan-kawan diorang yang datang pun boleh tahan gila-gila jugak. Haa.. Itu lah yang best kalau shoot gambar pengantin yang ada kawan gila-gila.. Ape je yang aku suruh diorang buat, mesti diorang buat punya.. Sampai tahap pengantin pun diorang nak pukul..! Hahaha.. Tapi diorang lupa, yang si Khairun tu ada ilmu kebal tahap tertinggi..! Jenis pergi bertapa kat bawah pokok mamat ni sebenarnya.. Sungguh aku tak bohong (Ada bukti gambar).. Nanti aku bongkarkan kegiatan dia..
Nak tahu, korang tengok-tengok la gambar-gambar kat bawah ni.. Hehehe… Dan kepada sesiapa yang belum booking kami untuk photography perkahwinan korang silalah berbuat dengan kadar segera sebab slot promosi hujung tahun kami dah mula terisi.. Jadi siapa cepat, dia dapat..! Jumpa lagiiiiiii…!
Thareq & Nurul Ayu Pre Wedding
Yesterday was a very joyful and adventurous day for both of our photographers, Farul Azri and Abu Bakar Fahmi or better known as Burn. They was assign to shoot the pre wedding photos for this lovely couple who will get marry by end of this year. Thareq and Nurul Ayu was very sporting and helpful throughout the entire photo shoot process and we was very happy to be working with them!

Fuhh.. It’s been a while since we last updated Click*Syndicate | The Blog.. Sorry guys, it’s been quite a very busy months for us last month. What happen last month? Well to many things to mentioned. Muay Thai events photoshoot, product and food photography plus our July wedding promotions and a few others stuff that really has separated us from connecting to internet.. Sorry guys and girls. But we’re back again and that’s a good news.. Yay!
And the best news of all and by many request, our July wedding promotions is now extended for the whole month of August 2009. And that is something that you shouldn’t be missed again! LOL.. Now, wait no more and book us for your year end events!

Anil + Zam = Pre Wedding
Bila dah ramai tanya kat kami ‘bila la nak upload gambar pre-wed Anil dengan Zam tu?’ makanya kami tak boleh nak buat diorang semua tunggu-tunggu lagi. *Jeng-Jeng-Jeng* (Muzik suspen). Gambar-gambar mereka semua kami dah deliver pun kat pasangan bakal pengantin tu. Tak sampai seminggu pun untuk siapkan semua. Amacam? Cepat tak..? Hahaha..
Anil dan Zam ni adalah satu pasangan yang sangat loving gitu. “Sweeeeeet..” bak kata Enche Burn (pembantu fotografer kami). Pada kami, mereka sangat ideal dan romantik! Mereka sangat sepasang seperti kata pepatah Melayu lama, “Ibarat merpati dua sejoli” – “Bagai pinang dibelah dua”. Diorang ni punya tahap sempoi, sampai fotografer tak perlu suruh atau minta untuk buat pose – Natural je semua… Jadi ianya banyak memudahkan kerja-kerja kami. Cuma cuaca panas terik dengan bahang dan haba yang melanda Malaysia semenjak-dua menjak ni menjadikan kami semua cepat letih dan dahaga. Habis jugak la beberapa bijik mineral water botol bersaiz besar.. Haha.. Tapi hal kerja – kami tetap komited!

Sesuatu yang ramai tak bisa hidup tanpanya. Ramai yang takut tinggal dalam gelap. Resah & gelisah. Begitu jugalah dengan kita ini manusia dijadikan berpasangan… Tak mungkin bisa hidup kesunyian tanpa pasangan.

Kami bertungkus lumus di Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam, Shah Alam untuk merakamkan cahaya cinta yang wujud antara pasangan bakal pengantin ini – Anil Ezatul & Ros Muhammad Nizam.
